As part of the new initiative to move SUNY Korea towards more innovative pedagogy techniques,
Dr. Anthony Pennings, Professor and Associate Chair of the Department of Technology and Society spoke on the topic of improving education through in-class "simulations." He spoke about the simulation he conducts in his economics class where students become Federal Reserve presidents and meet to decide on interest rates. The event was well attended with about 10-15 professors participating. Online versions of these talks will be available soon and more information can be obtained from his The Fedwatcher's Handbook.
